Religious & Spiritual (English)

Religious freedom is a cornerstone of American liberties, and diversity of religious faith a fact of life. The Department of State promotes religious freedom around the world, through public outreach and diplomacy. Once a year, the Ambassador-At-Large for International Religious Freedom issues a report on how 199 countries around the world are dealing with religious freedom. The Department also makes grants available to help those who advance religious freedom. Our eShop Religion collections examine the way religious freedom and diversity play out in the lives of Americans, from its Constitutional and philosophical underpinnings, to the vibrant faiths coexisting in communities across the nation.
